## earmark init

    earmark init [PATH] [--base-url URL] [--title TITLE] [--no-default] [--force]

Writes a commented `earmark.toml` into `PATH`, marking that folder as a library. Records it as the default library unless told not to.

## Arguments

| Argument | Default            | Means                   |
|----------|--------------------|-------------------------|
| `PATH`   | the current folder | where the library lives |

## Options

| Flag | Default | Means |
|----|----|----|
| `--base-url URL` | none | the public URL this folder is served at |
| `--title TITLE` | `earmark` | podcast title |
| `--no-default` | off | don't make this the library used outside any library folder |
| `--force` | off | overwrite an existing `earmark.toml` |
| `--library PATH` |  | the library to act on |

## Notes

`--base-url` is the URL the *folder* is served at, not the URL of the feed file. earmark appends the rest. Publishing fails without it, so it is worth setting now; `earmark config` can add it later.

Without `--force`, `init` refuses to clobber an existing config and tells you so rather than silently doing nothing.

`--no-default` matters when you keep more than one library: it stops a second `init` from stealing the default the first one set.

## Examples

``` bash
earmark init ~/pCloud\ Drive/public/audio \
  --base-url https://filedn.com/XXXX/audio \
  --title "John's Reading Pile"
earmark init ~/public/fiction --base-url https://example.com/fiction --no-default
```
